Grip
Often confused with handling, grip is the ability of the car鈥檚 tyres to hold onto the road under the stresses of cornering, braking and acceleration.听 Grip is also referred to as 鈥榬oadholding鈥�.听 Suspension and tyres are partners in the creation of a car鈥檚 grip.听 The tyres do the gripping, but only when the suspension keeps them pressed into the tarmac. If the suspension allows the tyre to leave the road or even 鈥榰nload鈥�, grip is reduced. And this is the greatest failing of most existing suspension mods as it ignores the fact that the name of the game is maximising contact between road and tyre.
